Police said the man pulled into his driveway on Ward Rd., on the east side of Durham 23, around noon last Wednesday (Nov. 22) in time to see two men leaving his house. The suspects took off down Ward Rd., whichis a dead end. When they reached the end of the road, with the man in pur- suit, they left the vehicle. The man parked his truck across the road to prevent them escaping again. Two men were arrested by police a short time later on Medd Rd., to the south of Ward. A 21-year-old Oshawa man faces two charges of break and enter and pos- session of stolen property, as well as a charge of dan- gerous driving in connec- tion with the collision be- tween the car and truck. A 19-year-old Ajax man has been charged with break and enter and pos- session of stolen property. Items stolen from the homes were recovered in the woods, police said. Truck recovered A truck stolen from the Stouffville area was recov- ered in Scugog Sunday, police said. Police were called to River St. in Seagrave, where they found a 1992 GM four by four truck in the ditch. Witnesses said they had seen four men fleeing the scene. Police learned the truck had been stolen earlier in the day from Stouffville. The igni- tion was punched out, and the steering column dam- aged. And in Greenbank, a Pearl St. man found some- one had? damaged his Dodge Ram truck while trying to steal it overnight last Tuesday.
