Due to poor weather attendance wasn't as good as usual. During the program the children sang nicely - the Penny Sale was of inter- est, and the lunch served by the ladies was super. Prizes were won as fol- lows: First - Ina Davis won $100; second - Sophie Blyth won the china doll; third - Marion Cook won the boys hockey picture and Blue Jay picture and hat. Irene Train won the hamper of groceries Con- gratulations to the Court girls! They did their best on a poor night weather- wise! A great group of la- dies! On Friday, Dec. 1 Nes- tleton United Church hosted their fourth annu- al variety night. The church council would like to thank the performers that did a magnificent job. Also the many local business peo- ple and congregational members for their dona- tions re their talents - door prizes - auction items - crafts and baking. The Blackstock, Nestle- ton Youth Group served refreshments during in- termission and Emcee Richard MacKenzie, as- sisted by Dennis Yellow- lees kept the evening mov- ing along with plenty of humor.
