Both churches were filled to capacity for the special Christ- mas services which featured beautiful music as well as con- gregational carol singing and in some cases candle lighting. David and Kathleen Petrie were delighted to have their youngest son David home from California for Christmas for a short stay. They spent Christ- mas Eve at the home of their son Alan and Anne Marie and baby Kathleen in Brampton and held Christmas at home. Harvey and Joan Graham en- joyed a short holiday before Christmas in the Bahama Is- lands. The Square Dance group held their annual Christmas party on Thursday, Dec. 14 with near- ly full attendance in spite of freezing rain. Glen and Caro- lyn, our callers had squares, rounds and games and all was topped off with a pot luck lunch. Glen and Carolyn wished all a Merry Christmas and hoped to see many back at the New Years' Eve party. Square danc- ing will resume on Thursday, Jan. 11 at the Old Town Hall. Mrs. Margaret VanCamp has been moved back to Port Perry Hospital to continue her recu- eration following a broken hip. Her daughter Rev. Ten members of the after- noon unit of the UCW met at Jean Ferguson's home for the Christmas pot luck luncheon. Thelma opened the meeting with a poem. The Patchwork Quilt was quite appropriate as we had the finished quilt on dis- play that we had done for De- nise House. Thelma thanked Jean for of- fering her home this Christmas meeting.
