Please see story for more details. Waterfront dock to be repaired Fear over possible inju- ries has prompted Scugog Council to spend $35,000 to repair the crumbling ce- ment slabs at the lake- front. A series of broken con- crete slabs directly in front of the Latcham Cen- tre will be removed in Jan- urary and replaced with a pressure-treated wooden dock. The slabs have shifted and pose a serious safety threat to the public and the township would be li- able for any injuries. The township did seek a grant for the repairs, but was turned down. The cost of the project will be split between the parkland reserve fund and the municipal pro- jects reserve fund.
