After winning all four of their games, Port had amassed 14 out of a possi- ble 15 points and earned a well-deserved spot in the championship game. In the final, our oppo- nents were none other than the tournament hosts Lindsay, who had eliminated Port from their own home tournament on Dec. 16. Port were up for this game right from the start. After a scoreless first period Port went to work in the second as they took the lead on a goal from Jon Froats assisted from Casey Vanschagen and Dillan Weber. The third was all Port as they showed no mercy for our hosts and scored three goals for a very convincing 4-0 win. Adam Hobbs, Danny Lyons and Casey Vanschagen scored the goals for Port. Assists went to Ian Parliament, Glenn McCready, Troy Campbell and Casey Vanschagen. Mike McClennan played ex- tremely well in goal for Port obtaining the shut- out! We're red, we're white, were dyno-mite" was heard being chanted from the always supportive par- ents and fans as the boys received their awards for winning this tournament. The coaching staff were positively impressed with the efforts from the team as' all the boys put out when on the ice.
