The ice fishermen and ski- doo riders are having a great time. Congratulations to all our firefighters whom will be re- ceiving their recognition awards for their years of ser- vice. A week or s0 ago I wrote about the blue directory booklet we all received in the mail from John O'Toole MPP. A week ago I re- ceived a call from Mrs. Nancy Bongard of Nestleton whose sharp eye caught that they missed our Blackstock schools. So get out your booklet and add in the appropriate places, the two schools. Cartwright Cen- tral Public School, 6 Alexander St., Blackstock, Ontario LOB IBO. Phone 905-986-4227. Cartwright High School, 44 Old Scugog Rd. N., Blackstock, On- taro LOB IBO. Phone 905-986- 4241; Fax - 905-986-5672. We were informed that an ad- dendum would be forthcoming with any omissions or correc- tions but there would not be a booklet next year because of the financial restraining policy. If you know of other errors please call John's office. We also received from Alex Shepherd MP, a nice neat size calendar through the mail. I be- lieve if we all carried the word along with the sayings he has down the side of the calendar our country would be more unit- ed. After all we are one of the richest and most democratic countries on earth. Lets all stop this bickering and be thankful for what we have and forge ahead to make a better society. Joke of the Week - A bachelor asked a computer dating ser- vice to find him the perfect mate: "I want a companion who 1s small and cute, loves water * sports and enjoys group activi- ties." Back came the computer answer. Marry a pénguin. Saying of the week on persis- tence. There's only one way you can fail - and that's to quit.
