He said that although the equipment is designed to be self supporting and user friendly, he was concerned that there is still a very definite need for additional assistance to the rural community that is not being met or understood. "People living outside the heavily populated areas to the south are at a real disadvantage when compet- ing for jobs, and accessibility to employment advice, information and assistance," he said. Mr. Coy feels there is a real feed for assistance beyond what volunteers are able to provide and a "do it yourself" situation is just not good enough. Many communities, with government assistance, are devel- oping a resource centre where various community groups can provide assistance and information.
