Scouting group invites village to fundraising dance Feb. 24 BY MURIEL GIBSON Seagrave and Green- bank Scouting Group would like to invite the community to join us at our annual fundraising dance, Feb. 24 at Green- bank Hall. We were saddened this past week by the passing of Mrs. Dorothy Ianson. She was a faithful Wom- en's Institute member and will be missed in the com- munity. The Greenbank Church Youth Group are holding their annual spaghetti supper on the evening of Feb. 25, 5-7 p.m. All are welcome. For tickets call any of the Youth Group. Our February meeting of the Women's Institute has been postponed until later in March. On Ash Wednesday, Feb. 21 there will be a Meager Meal at the church, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Home-made soup, bread, and beverage. Cost - a donation to Mission and Service fund. Andrea Gibson from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay spent last week with her parents, Jim and Judy Gibson. The Church Service was well attended on Sunday. The Cubs, Scouts, Bea- vers, Brownies, Sparks, Guides and Pathfinders took part in Service. The Canada Cord presenta- tion to Jennifer Oulette was given by Marie Pow- ell. Mr. Howard Hall and Mr. Alex Shepherd took partin presentation. There is a meeting at Greenbank Hall on Feb. 21 from 6-7 p.m., to set up young people's activity group. Interested parents and teenagers 11 - 16 are invited. For more informa- tion, call 985-3723. There will be a Lion's Club meeting on Feb. 21 at 7:30 p.m. in the hall.
