On Saturday, May 11 and Sunday, May 12 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 55 vendors from across Onta- rio will be displaying top quality + crafts at Port Perry High School, 160 Rosa St. Items such as folk art, dolls, scented candles, jewelry, pottery, dried floral arrangements and much more will be dis- played at the show. The event is being spon- sored and organized by the Port Perry High School Athletic Association and the proceeds are used to fund athletic programs at PPHS. There are 100 students from the athletic depart- ment involved in the or- ganization of the show. ¥ "We have had successful teams this year," ex- plained Mr. Ron Pither, head of the athletic de- partment. "Without the craft show we wouldn't have been able to send our teams to Annual craft show will raise funds for school OFFSA. Without the show, we would have to substantially cut back our involvement and decrease the opportunity for the 360 students that partici- .pate in athletics." A portion of the pro- ceeds will go to upgrading the fields. Some of last year's earn- ings went towards the new equipment in the weight room which benefits many of the students in the school.
