A special ceremony, at- tended by representatives of Durham Region's works department and Scugog Township, was held at the Reach St. transfer site Wednesday morning. Re- gion waste reduction man- ager Peter Watson said the new northern site will allow residents of Scugog, Uxbridge and Brock to drop off their hazardous materials, which aren't suitable for curbside pick- up or regular disposal.
