"A Family Tradition for 130 Years" KELLY LOWN/PORT PERRY STAR $4,000 FOR MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY. Stuart Houthuys, chair of the Port Perry Firefighters Asso- ciation, presented a $4,000 cheque to Rick Harri- son, fire fighter advisory for Muscular Dystrophy of Durham Region. The local fire department raised the money through various fundraisers in Scugog this past year. Mr. Houthuys said it is the public's support of the fire hall's fundraisers that allowed the department to make such a donation and hopes for continued support in future events.
