It's great that they had good weather this year. I hear there were lots of ca- noes at 8 a.m. We were in town so didn't get to see them until around 11 a.m. when most of them had passed by. Hope everyone enjoyed the event. Happy birthday this week to Joanne Desautels, John Kent and Gertrude Wanamaker. Several from Seagrave attended the Sunday School Anniversary at Greenbank on Sunday. A puppet show was en- Marsh Mash Is June 16th Paddlers can raise pledges for conservation by participating in the Marsh Mash Canoe-A- Thon, Sunday, June 16. The Lake Simcoe Re- gion Conservation Author- ity is encouraging every- one with a canoe to take part in the 12 kilometre course along the protected canals of the Holland. Marsh. Entry fee is $25 or the equivalent in pledges. Numerous prizes will be awarded to the top place finishers in all classes, most determined paddlers and for most pledges col- lected. Registration is at 8:30 a.m. the day of the race with canoeing scheduled .to start at 10 a.m. A barbe- cue hosted by the Bradford M&M Meat Shop follows at noon. A limited number of ca- noes are available from the Conservation Authori- ty through advance regis- tration.
