A. Cawker Public School marking the end of a 34-year career in teach- ing. Mr. Kiezebrink, who will retire at the end of the month, has lived most of his life in the Scugog Township area, has spent many years educating lo- cal students. After beginning his ca- reer in Scarborough in 1962, Mr. Kiezebrink came to Prince Albert School as principal in 1967. He had graduated from that school some number of years earlier. After spending 11 years at the local public school he was transferred and spent the next few years at various Durham Region public schools before once again returning to Scugog Township. H. Cornish Public School from 1982- 1989, when he was then made the principal of Scu- gog's newest elementary school --S. A. Cawker. Mr. Kiezebrink has the distinction of being the only principal of the school, which has been in existance since 1989. "I've been here for seven years. You really become attached to the school and the people here," he said. Although Mr. Kieze- brink is looking forward to spending more time work- ing with the Victory Chris- tian Centre Church, his retirement brings mixed feelings. : "It would be a lot easier to retire if you disliked what you had been doing," he said. He has spent the past few years working part time with the church and feels by working there more often it is more like a career change then retire- ment. He plans to take missionary trips and teach the students at the local church. "TI will miss (teaching), but I look forward to the other things I will be do- ing. It's been a great ca- reer I really enjoyed it," he said. LASER COLOR (sda [engeolelol gd] {oF at the PORT PERRY STAR Durham Fresh Marketing i BRA BSA os = rT SR
