Local banks and teams made up of various merchants will be taking part. The bike tour is a three kilometre ride beginning at Big V. The riders will | travel along Queen Street to Water to Mary Street, along John and North Streets and back to the Chamber office on Queen Street. Marion Lee, a Honey's Beach resident, has put to- gether a team of neighbors to take part in the bike event. Her motivationis to raise money for the foun- dation as way of saying thank you for its past work. Her team will be rid- ing the bike between 7-8 p.m. 'Mrs. Lee's husband Ralph received triple by- pass surgery some 16 years ago and although he was given six months at that time, he is living life to the fullest. By taking part i. this fundraiser Mrs. Lee said it is her way of saying thanks to the association for the work it does. Mr. Lee believes if it were not for the funds raised by this associationfor research he and others would not be here today. By raising more money it will give the foundation more money to continue to go further with its re- search, Mr. Lee said. Mr. Lee hopes funds raised will allow more ad- vanced medical knowl- edge and continued updat- ed equipment for others who experience heart problems. Although he continues to snowmobile with his wife and take daily walks, Mr. Lee will not be riding the bike this day, but Mrs. Lee will.
