Both West Shore Development and the I.P.C.F. Properties are anxious to get underway with the foundations for their developments, council was told. I.P.C.F. has demolished the buildings on the former Conway site north of Scugog St. and are moving to clear and grade the site. By Jeff Mitchell Port Perry Star There won't be any problems with a big biker bash here on the long weekend as long as the party-goers don't cause any, says Scugog's mayor. "If those guys want te go in there and have a party and be quiet, then no problem," Howard Hall said of a party planned on the Canada Day weekend by the Satan's Choice motorcycle club. "As long as they stay on the site, fine." That's the plans, says Bernie Guindon of the Choice. He said party-goers are just looking for a place to get together, and don't want any trouble. The bikers were crying foul last week, claiming they're being harassed by police and municipal officials over plans to hold a large-scale party on a property just east of the cause- way, outside Port Perry. It's being held to mark the retire- ment of Choice founder Mr. I.P.C.F. planner Richard Zelinka told council the com- pany is requesting the issuance of a permit for the foundation, enabling the site work to pro- ceed properly. He told council the group is still planning to open its "Independent Grocer" store by October of this year, and that construction is currently mov- ing along quite well.
