The 'French Internet Project is a five day expe- rience, beginning on Oct. 24 and continuing throughout the rest of this month and November, in- volving P.P.H.S. and Pine Ridge Secondary School in Pickering. Along with the opportu- nity to introduce the stu- dents to the Internet, this project gives the kids a chance to develop comput- er and word processing skills, and to experience different working envi¥én-, ments. The program also helps students to meet and work with new people. "These are social skills that we, in education, are putting an emphasis on," explains Alice Mees, who teaches the grade 11 French class at Port Perry involved.
