Whitby OPP said alco- hol may be a factor in the accident, which occurred just east of Port Perry on Hwy. 7A, at about 9:45 a.m., Saturday (Oct. 26). Police believe that a westbound pick-up truck, driven by a 45 year old Port Perry man, crossed the centre line and collid- ed head on with an east- bound Jeep. Police said that 45-year- old driver of the Jeep, Brian Fensom of Picker- ing and his 69-year-old ny June Hump Sh of Scarborough, were Killed instantly. The driver's parents, Murray and Ella Fensom of Scarborough, who were travelling in the back seat of the Jeep, were both seri- ° ously injured, police said. An air ambulance was required to take one acci- dent victim to a Toronto« hospital after the Scugog Fire Department helped to extricate the injured parties. Police said the driver of the pick-up truck, Gordon Brooks, and his wife, Don- na, a passenger in the ve- hicle, suffered minor in- jures. Both were treated at Community Memorial Hospital. Police have confirmed that the driver of the pick- up truck was arrested, and that charges are pending.
