The remainder of the second period was all Lions 'with Graham Hofstetter, Mitch Truax, Mark Vernest and Collin Holditch all getting goals. Scugog only managed two goals in the period. One scored by Mark Schin- kel and one by Ryan O'Leary. The Lions Club took a 6-3 lead into the third period until Scugog's Ryan O'Leary inspired team mates to pick up the pace. Taylor Meeking scored in a goalmouth scramble and then Ryan: Petch scored on a beauti- ful pass from Ryan O'Leary. Bobby Robinson then went end to end-to score and tie the game 6-6. Ryan Petch then scored his second goal to put Scu- gog Lumber ahead 7-6. Not to be outdone, the Lions fought back and af- ter a lot of hard work Gra- ham Hofstetter scored his secondgoal to tie the game at 7-7. Lucas Frazier played solid in his goaltending de- but for the Lions and a special, thanks to Andrew Fancy for his goaltending help for the Scugog Lum- berteam. This latest game ended in a 4-3 win with some fine play demonstrated by our younger players who have joined this year's squad. After a first period frought with penalties, Port's girls set their minds to the task , scoring four goals to take and overtake an enthu- siastic team from Wool- wich.
