"A Family Tradition for 130 Years" or A, The fourth Sunday of Advent will be celebrated this Sunday, Dec. 22 in Utica Church at 11 oan: The Candle of Love will be it. On Tuesday, Dec. 24 the Christmas Eve communion ser- vice will be held in Epsom Church starting at 8:30 p.m. On Christmas morning, Dec. 25 at 9:30 a.m., there will be an informal service at the Manse in Goodwood and you are invit- ed to come as you are. Note that this is a change as originally it was to be held at the church in Goodwood. Sunday, Dec. 29, church ser- vice will be held in Epsom Church startingat 11 a.m. The U.C.W. Christmas pot luck luncheon was held last Tuesday, Dec. 10 in Epsom Church basement with approxi- mately 26 men and women sit- ting down to a delicious meal consisting of dishes from some of the best cooks around. Faye Ashton led the group in a wor- ship service which was followed by readings and contests, con- cluding the program with the creation of two huge Christmas cards, with each person adding a word or two to make very in- teresting messages. These were sent to two of our members who weren't able to attend. A get well card was signed by those present and sent to former member Hazel Medd who, I un- derstand, had surgery on Wednesday and is reported to be doing very well. The nominating committee's report for 1997 executive was received and adopted. This get- together was a most wonderful Farewell dinner for Shepherds planned Happy birthday to Elma Colwell and Michelle Lidner who celebrated her seventh birthday with her friends on Sunday. Once again the Seagrave Park Dance was a great suc- cess. Lots of fun was had by everyone. Great socializing, good friends and good music, tends to make a great night for all. Thanks to all the organiz- ers who worked so hard. See you next year. The MacDonald family lit the 3rd Advent Candle of Joy at the church service on Sun- day.
