While such a job may be exciting, it cannot be done alone and Donnelly has a small staff of 25 to assist him in running his shows. With 15 guys for security, he also has 10 others for jobs like coat check, taking tickets and running errands. Hoping to be employed by Universal Concerts Canada some day in the future, Brent Donnelly says that he's happy staying here for a while. "For now I'd like to stay in Durham. I'm the only one doing live shows in Durham Region and so far the results have been great. Besides actually being in the business I like to bring these shows to people; I feel like I'm offering a service to these people. "I feel like I'm bringing something to this town that it wouldn't normally get. I like being involved in these large attractions and having the full fledge openness of a concert," Donnelly said, adding that while he might consider being contracted out to arrange music for bars, he will stick with concerts. With plans to try and hold a concert every other month in Port Perry, Donnelly says that he is thankful for the support he receives from the crowd, and from parents. "I appreciate the support Port Perry has given me. The crowds have been great and I thank the parents who have allowed their children to attend. The kids are well taken care of and this way they don't have to drive them to Toronto to see a show. "l want everyone to support the shows no matter what the size or 'who's playing.
