Money is also allotted towards the Scugog Chamber of Commerce's Canada Day fireworks dis- play. The money raised with- in the K of C goes to many other avenues. The local council supports Rose of Durham, a support group for unwed mothers, and sponsors a hockey team in the Port Perry Minor League. And every year, kids from elementary schools throughout the township toe the foul line for the Knights of Columbus Free Throw basketball compe- tition.
