The choir of Bernice Mairs, Reginia Walker, Shirley Jackson along with Rev. Shear- man sang "On Eagle Wings" with Karen Yel- lowlees accompanying on the piano. Rev. Shear- man's sermon was titled "Day Enu" the Hebrew word meaning thank God 1s with us no matter what. Next Sunday the out- door service will be held at the home of Harold and Lois Luke at 3171 Bea- cock Road. The service will begin at 10:30 a.m. and everyone is welcome. On Sunday, June 29, there will be an open house at Camp Scugog at 1 p.m. If anyone has dona- tions for the camp they can call the camp at 986- 4401. There will be a yard sale at the Nestleton United Church on Satur- day,dJuly 12at9a.m. Rev. Shearman will be on holidays from July 14 to Aug. 11. Nestleton United Church will not have services those Sun- days, but everyone is wel- come to attend church at Blackstock United. Decoration Service at Nestleton will be held on Aug. 17 at 2:30 p.m. Nestleton Presbyterian Church On a beautiful June morning, the regular ser- vice at 11 a.m. was held in Nestleton Presbyterian Church with Rev. Wm. Fairley in charge and Joyce Taylor as organist. Ushers were Graham Ham and Oliver Rohrer. A beautiful floral ar- rangement, was in memo- ry of the late Rita Fairley, who passed away a year ago. Her family was present and joined with the congregation in the Communion Service. Psalm 9, versus 9-20, and scripture readings were I Samuel 16 and Mark 4. . Holy Communion was dispensed by Rev. Fair- ley, assisted by Graham Ham, Joyce Taylor, Doro- thy Lee and Winnifred Davison, - elders. For the months of July and August, there will not be services but will com- mence again on Sept. 7, first Sunday. The regular service will be held June 29. Lunch and social time were enjoyed in the Sun- day School Room. Blue Ray Chapter O.E.S. On June 12, Blue Ray members and visitors met for the last time before summer break. This was our annual election night which was a successful one with Elsa Bongard and Peter Miles leading with their corps of Offi- cers for the ensuing year 1997-8. Elsa Bongard was presented with her life membership in the Chap- ter by Isabell Wilson.
