Charles Bull and his family who are spending part of their summer vacation in Souther Ontario. Father Charles, who is now Rector of a widespread- multi-point parish based in Lockeport, Nova Scotia, presid- ed at the Eucharist and also delivered the homily. The choir sang an anthem and the chil- drens' choir, under the direction of Cathie King sang a song about prayer. The service was followed by a parish pot-luck lunch during which Charles, his wife Michelle and children Joanna, Daniel and Peter, were able to meet and chat with old friends and to meet some new members of the congregation. There was much laughter as memories of events during Charles' rector- ship at St. John's. Charles and Michelle expressed surprise and delight at the new (to them) organ, the new roof and at the growth which the Parish has experienced. The chatting last- ed till well into the aftenoon as so many people wanted to have a personal few minutes with the Bulls. The folks at St. John's extend love and best wishes 'and we pray that the rest of the Bulls' visit to "Upper Canada" will be refreshing and enjoyable, that the journey home will be a safe one and that the good work which Charles and Michelle have undertaken will continue to be successfu. During the service on Sunday, prayers of thanksgiv- ing were offered for Father Hugh's and Peggy's 35 years of marriage. We extend love and congratulations.
