Saying of the Week: A child's greatest period of growth is the month after you've purchased new school clothes. Joke of the Week: Walking down the street, a man passes a house and notices a child | trying to reach the door bell button. No matter how much the little guy stretches he can't make it. The man calls out "Here let me get that for you" and he bounds onto the porch to ring the bell. "Thanks mister" says the kid "Now lets run." Nestleton News a Only three weeks remaining before kids back in school By Linda Arbuckle It has been fairly quiet around Nestleton the last couple of weeks, with no church news to report and everyone busy with holidays. Our sincere sympathy to Mrs. Shirley Leslie on the recent passing of her husband James at the end of July. Someone pointed out "Hey if there wasn't any * corn we'd make do with hot dogs and marshmallow roast." Another positive point would be that a good portion of the community park equipment would be installed. Food for thought: Perhaps a weekend in September would be better for this annual event as most people are back from vacation and less bugs. More details in the coming week or so. Happy birthday wishes go out to Kevin Kerry, John Philip Zidner, Audrey Horner, Roslyn King, Ken Short and bors. AK pest wishes to Gary and Donna Sweetman who cel- ebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on Monday of this week. : A reminder to all that there is no Seagrave United Church service during August.
