Happy Birthday wishes go out this week to Ken Stephens, Bill Sandiford, Judy Carr and Leanne Blackley. - Many from Seagrave attended the 124th anniversary service of Pinedale Church on Sunday morning. The guest speaker, Rev. Bob Johnston spoke on "Words of Life: Words of Death". He gave a very inspiring message with many thoughts to use in our day to day life - especially family life. The choir anthems accompanied by the organist Muriel Jebson, were enjoyed by all. A Social hour followed. Next Sunday the Seagrave service is at the usual times of 10:00 a.m. including Sunday School. The Variety Program and Bake Sale which was held on Friday evening at the church was well attended. HEATHER McCRAE/PORT PERRY STAR HAPPY 99TH: Mrs. Katharine Crosier celebrated her 99th birthday with her daughters Donna Robison (left) of Sacramento, California and Jean Scott from London, Ontario and several other family members recently. Predeceased by her husband, Jack, and a daughter, Thelma, Mrs. Crosier lived in Utica for nearly 50 years. Her teaching career started at Pinegrove PS, then she was located between Utica and Uxbridge and also taught at Utica and Epsom public schools until her retirement in 1969. Sewing and gardening have always been favorite hobbies for Mrs. Crosier. Up until last summer she enjoyed planting and harvesting her own vegetables. Mrs. Crosier has the honor of having eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She's been a resident at the Villa since August. "I like it here (at the villa) and enjoy chats with the people," she said. Asked how she felt on her 99th birthday, she replied "not Church. Call Ken Sturman. That's all for now.
