They were scored by Larry Pilkey, Steve Groves and Doug Bronson. Assists went to Brian Pomeroy, Steve Groves, Larry Pilkey, Jim Beatty and Todd Wilbur. At the start of the third the Chargers came out on fire scoring three quick goals to tie the hockey game. They were scored by Jeff Card, Mike McQuade, and Bob Collins. Assists went to Mike McQuade, Dean Smith, Jack Monsma and Steve Connors. With 4:17 remaining in the third Brian Samis found the back of the net with an assist to Doug Bronson. Steve Connors then tied up the game with helpers from Jeff Card and Jack Monsma. But again, the Flames took the lead com- pliments of Larry Pilkey from Todd Wilbur. But the Chargers just did not give up. With only three seconds to go in the game Jeff Card scored from Mike McQuade and Willie Edwards to leave the game in a tie.
