---- ae RA in 5 7 -- "Scugog's Community Newspaper of Choice" 18- PORT PERRY STAR - Tuesday, December 16, 1997 Santa's the guest of honor as Lions hold party The Greenbank Lions invit- ed Santa Claus to the hall on Saturday to the delight of the local children and parents. Everyone enjoyed the movies, carols, and puppet show. There wasn't a speck of doubt that Saint Nick would remember all the requests the children had as they sat on his lap. Later that night about 80 people attended the hall board- 's annual Christmas dance and raised money to help finance improvements in the park. The Greenbank Lions ran the bar and the hall board draw was won by Cliff Rodd, Keith Gibson and Doug Potier. The profits will be used to pur- chase the materials ($3,000) for the new fence in Ianson "Park.
