Everyone had a great time. Thank you hall board members for your time and effort in making it possible to cele- brate the new year's birth in our community. Don Putsey I'm glad to report my brother Don was able to get away to Woodstock, Ontario over the new year's holiday to visit his oldest son Bob, daughter- in-law Wendy and grand- children. He's very happy with his few days away. Skidoos and Car Parking It was mentioned to me about the skidoos and four wheel vehicles racing around the park. There are signs erected stating this is defiant of a Scugog bylaw. So look out, you'll eventually be stopped and ticketed for this offense. This causes ruts in the lawn. I might add about park- ing on the road allowances especially during the win- ter months. Ask the people on Center Lane and Angle St. about that. It interferes with snow plowing so you can expect a ticket for that if that's where you park. Auto Accident Our deepest sympathy is extended to Douglas McGavin and family on the loss of his wife Susan Treiber and mother-in- law Stella Treiber due to an auto accident on Hwy. 57 Christmas Eve. Sincerely trust Mr. and Mrs. Larry Squires will be home from the hospital soon. They were in the sec- ond car. Saying of the Week 'It's bad enough when walls are thin And quarrels are over- heard But even worse to have this din And not catch every word Joke of the Week A woman stood inside the front door, her arms full of coats. Four small children scurried around her. Her husband, coming down the stairs, asked why she was standing there. "Here," she said, hand- ing him the coats. "This time you put the children into their coats, and I'll go and honk the horn."
