Barbara Kapteyn read, "My Society" taken as a tribute to a past member Marguerite Fraser written in 1964. A chorus of Institute members delight- ed the audience with sev- eral selections. Twenty-five year pins were presented to Doris Flett, Joyce Taylor, Bernice Watson, Margaret Ford, Ida Bray, Helen Hancock and Blaikie Rowsell. Members pre- sented a hilarious skit entitled, "A man's impres- sion of the Women's Institute." Many could g things improve for our neighbors to the east relate to this skit. It's healthy to laugh at our- selves. Fqrty-year member- ships were presented to Doris Flett, Jean Taylor and Dorothy Pascoe. The choir favored us again with three selections, "In The Old Town Hall, Ode to Joy" and an account of the Solina W.I.s activities through the years in song. Very well done, Solina Institute. We enjoyed the party and hope that you carry on for many more celebrations. Rev. David Shearman assisted with the memorial service for the late Rev. J.C. Hill which was held in the Columbus United Church on Sunday after- noon. Helen and Stuart Dorrell, Gerald and Joyce Kelly attended from this area.
