The only good news I see is they didn't spend 25 to 45 billion over what they take in, this could be partly due to the interest rates around the: world, not their good man- agement. Good news? Since Liberals took power they have run the debt up over 120 billion in four years. This is nearly as good as the Conservatives did in their nine years Eh tin the deficit. Do the people of Canada forget these things or do they not care? Good news? Ottawa used to share health cost 50-50 but now only pay 15 per cent. If we have any health plan we don't have the Liberals to thank. Good news? There are still people being brought in to this country to be put on welfare and get the ben- efits of our health system without contributing any- thing. Good news? Over 100 senators still in the Senate with about half of them there half of the time and one hardly at all, still get- ting paid around $75,000 a year. Thank you very much. Good news? The bureau- crats got a 14 per cent to 19 per cent raise in pay but no tax break for the masses. If there is any good news it's that the Reform Party 1s in opposition. It was the Reform Party that started the ball rolling in 1992 and 1993 to take more fiscal responsibility. There's something else | would like to mention. I thought the Reform Party was the official opposition. One news program I watched one night they had Abortion... the unending fight To the Editor: It is now 25 years since the Supreme Court of the U.S.A. legalized abortion. Canada followed many years later. Who would have thought that in these 25 years, 35 million unborn babies have been aborted. There is an unending fight going on by those of us who value life and seek to end this horrible practice. God Himself pre- sented two choices to mankind in Deut. 30: 19: "This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live." choose death and curses? Of course not, how absurd you will say. Yet, let us see what many of us have actually chosen. a Abortion, it is done at a large scale. a We discuss euthanasia and doctor assisted suicide as a practical option. a We allow rock music that glorifies promised? Another time the reporters inter- viewed the NDP, the Liberals and the Chamber of Commerce, but not the official opposition. This is some of the good news and bad news as I see it.
