Clearly frustrated with the dim view in which he and his colleagues are being held since the Andrew Thompson fiasco, Senator DiNino said he doesn't want to be paid to "sit on my ass in the Senate Chamber and listen to speeches". He's calling for clear and effective revi- sions -- including a shortening of terms and more efficient means of examining legislation and issues affecting the country -- that could lift the Senate above its current laugh- ing-stock status. Here's to Senator DiNino. He spoke out strongly on behalf of the many responsible, hard-working Senators currently in office who feel they have real contributions to make, and are willing to make changes involving personal sacrifice that will make their office relevant and respected.
