The annual Blackstock Curling Club windup banquet and awards presentations was held at the Parish Hall on Saturday evening. President Jim Weir welcomed everyone and after Grace by Gerald Kelly all enjoyed a very bountiful pot luck dinner. ~Karen Barkey presented the treasurer's report which showed the club's many activities. Cameron Porter is striving to have a new format for the men's league which hopefully will encourage more members. The remainder of the evening was spent in a relaxed social time. Congratulations to Matt Morrison who won a close second place in the Pine Ridge District Kub Kar Racing held on Sunday in Port Perry. Well done Matt with your own design. If there is enough interest to warrant it, a bus will be going to the Needlework Show in Toronto on Saturday, April 18 from Omemee United Church and will make stops in this area. Guest skater Melonie Allin's fine performance was followed by the Men in Black - the Blackstock Blade runners con- cluding the program.
