Also special thanks to my family, friends and neighbours for cards, flowers, phone calls and cheery visits while | was recovering in the hos- pital and at home. Many thanks to you all. Jim Walsh. Peter had been diagnosed with A Plastic Anemia and required a bone marrow transplant. His sister, Vanessa gave him a sec- ond chance at life. The transplant was successful, but Peter developed a rare and unexpected complica- tion which took his life. Peter knew the bone mar- row transplant was a pre- cious gift from his sister showing the special bond between sisters and broth- ers. The support and love that surrounded him encouraged Peter to fight a courageous battle to the end. We wish to thank friends, relatives, patrons and neighbours for their many acts of kindness shown to us, for cards and floral tributes, donations to The Hospital for Sick Chil- dren and The Ronald McDonald House, for calls, visits and food brought to the house. Thank you to the nurses and doctors at the Port Perry Hospital, Oshawa Hospital and the Hospital tor Sick Children for taking such good care of Peter, to the Wagg Funeral Home for the funeral arrangements, to the Emmanuel Pentecostal Church for offering their church to us, Pastor Dean Bursey for his kind words and his heartfelt service and the Pentecostal Church women for the lunch provided. A very special thank you to all of Peter's friends, class- mates and teachers who showed an outpouring of love and caring for Peter. There are not enough words to express our grati- tude for the wonderful support and love shown to us. The many flowers, cards and generous dona- tions made in Dad's mem- ory all helped to ease his passing. To Reverend Bob Le Page and to Mark from Wagg Funeral Home, thank you for the wonderful service. To Sharon & Don Benjamin, our heartfelt thanks for a wonderful luncheon brought together smoothly under difficult circum- stances. A special thank you to Ron Dudley, Doug Healey and all of Dad's dear neighbours for always making sure that he was well looked after. While sharing stories with visitors, there came a real- ization of the presence that Dad had in our com- munity.
