Marsh Hill Road will be closed off and the race will take place from the top of the hill to the bottom. Plan to make this a family affair, there will be plenty of food available, just make sure you take along a good sun hat and a comfortable lawn chair to watch the young and not so young kids race. Church service this week, June 21, will be held in Utica Church starting at 9:30 a.m. This past Tuesday, 14 ladies and two men took part in the U.C.W.'s visit to Cullen Gardens in HE CHEVY TRUCK SAL ROCK THE NATION Whitby. CHEVROLET | Those who attended the Decoration Service at Utica on Sunday afternoon were treated to fine entertain- ment by The Four Dads as well as the message by Rev. Neil Parker. Thanks to Sandra Doyle for ably fill- ing in at the piano. I was sorry to hear that Utica neighbor Hillis Wilbur has been in hospital for the past week. After spending a couple of days in Port Perry, he was trans- ferred to St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto where he is today (Monday) to have surgery to unblock an artery. Best of luck Hilly. Sunday supper guests with Ruth Ashton were daughter Beth Catherwood of Bobcaygeon who is spending a few days, Allan and Joyce Ashton of Oakwood, Keith, Faye and Robert Ashton. Recent callers were Monique Saunders, Meredith Ashton and children. Utica's Willowtree Market opened its doors to the public this past week and the word is that the strawberries are ripe for the picking, and delicious as always. The rains this past week were a welcome sight as most of the rain lately has missed this area and every- thing was becoming exceed- ingly dry. I've noticed that it's even made the grass just a little greener in the spots that were getting quite brown. Of course with that, it also makes the grass grow and we have to cut it. You just can't win. Scugog Bridge scores for June 10 Scugog Duplicate Bridge Club Wednesday, June 10 Afternoon 4 Table Howell Avg. 24 First - Al Stevens and Joyce Heard 28.5.
