(ACROSS FROM PORT PERRY HOSPITAL) Durham Regional Police are cur- rently investigating three Toronto- area men after two counterfeit bills were passed in Scugog last Friday. Police say three Oriental males in their early 20s came into the Country Style Donut shop at the corner of Simcoe St. and Hwy. 7A around 4 p.m. on July 3 and pur- chased three coffees with a $100 bill. After drinking their beverages at the shop, police say they went next door to Mac's Milk where they attempted to make a purchase with another $100 bill. The teller at the convenience store thought the bill was fake and refused to accept it. The males put the $4 purchase on a credit card. The teller at the store then went over to the donut shop where they discussed the possibility of the money being counterfeit. Police then say the males went to the Country Style Donut Shop in Manchester and made another pur- chase with a phony $100 bill. Upon being contacted about the money, police used video surveillance camera footage to identify the males a Gar, genet?
