Tyke Division The Auto Specialist went out of the division with both the league and Tournamen't Championships. They lead the league with a 10 and 0 record and came out of the round robin with a 3 and 1 record to face Spring Grove Agrivaders that they defeated in a close 5 to 1 game. The individual awards went to Natasha Edgerton for Best Sport, Neal Scott for the Most Improved and there was a tie for the Most Valuable between Cory VanDewiel and Eric Draper. Spring Grove Agrivaders came through the round robin with a 3 and 1 record as well but fell short to the Specialist in a 5 to 1 game. Their sea- son ended with a 5 and 5 record. The individual awards went to Robert Gatchell for Best Sport, Zachary Grove for the Most Improved and Thomas Prendergast for the Most Valuable. The Tyrone Tornadoes came into the league this year and posted a 2 and 2 record in the round robin. The individual awards went to Ben McColl for the Best Sport, Shawn Johnston for the Most Improved and Johnny Flute for the Most Valuable. As the writer of this article I would like to say that even though Ben won the Best Sport for the Tornadoes I personally believe that this boy who plays baseball on his crutches has the biggest heart of gold and the strongest determination and should be congratulat- ed for his efforts. The Wotten Hammerheads came through the round robin with a 2 and 2 record as well. The individual awards went to Katrina Wotten for Best Sport, Natalie Waters for Most Improved and Joshua Mann for the Most Valuable. The H&M Wright Sox came through the round robin with a 0 and 4 record. The individual awards went to Rachel Beechey for Best Sport, Brad Thompson for the Most Improved and Aaron Wright for the Most Valuable. Mite Division The Blackstock United Church Saints came out of the season with a 500 aecord and the round robin with a 2 and 1 record but when it came down to the final game thewdefeated Shaw Industrial 26 to 16 to take the Tournament Championship. The indi- vidual awards went to Micheal Hazeldon for the Best Sport, Frank Thompson for the Most Improved and Steven Larmer for the Most Valuable. Shaw Industrial came out of the season with a 9- 2-1 record to take the League Championship. Their round robin record was 2-1 that got them in to the final game but they were defeated by the Saints 26 to 16. The individual awards went to Justin Dart for the Best Sport, Jacob Durward for the Most Improved and Justyn Kennedy for the Most Valuable. The Overridge Flames also had a 2 and 1 record coming out of the round robin but were 1 point short from playing in the tour- nament final. The individ- ual awards went to David Vooys for the Best Sport, Hailey Wright for the Most Improved and Brian Jensen for the Most Valuable. Spanky's Haulage came out of the round robin 0 and 3 but had a great fun season. The individual awards went to Erin Lang for Best Sport, Sarah Gatchell for Most Improved and Sean Taylor for Most Valuable. Squirt Division Turner's Green Giants had a record of 10-1-1 to win the League Championship and a round robin record of 3 and 0 to take them into the final game against Marlin Travel that they won 30 to 26 to win the Tournament Championship. The indi- vidual awards were given to Mark Carnaghan for the Best Sport, Michel VanCamp for the Most Improved and Ashley Lucas for the Most Valuable. Marlin Travel came out of the round robin with a 2 and 1 record to face Turners in the Tournament Final but they just came up short by a 30 to 26 score. The individual awards went to Brett White for the Best Sport, Katie Ferguson for the Most Improved and at ( Star Office Centre ) ( 188 Mary Street, ) pont Perry 985-7383 : Nicole Jones for the Most Valuable. The Swain Seed Sluggers had a round robin record of 1 and 2. The indi- vidual awards went to Connor Cobitz for Best Sport, Cheryl Colwell for Most Improved and Eric Wilson for the Most Valuable. The Workman Hawkeyes went 0 and 3 in the round robin but again fun was the name of the game for this team. The individual awards went to Nicole Beechey for Best Sport, TJ Parker for Most Improved and Joel Michel for the Most Valuable. Intermediate Division Campbell Electric came out of the round robin with a 1-1-1 record just getting by Asselstine's on points to get into the Tournament Championship game in which they defeated Winter Storms 25-18. The indi- vidual awards went to Jessica MacLaughlin for Best Sport, Christopher Willis for Most Improved and Shain Hodgson for the Most Valuable. Asselstine's Yamaha took the League Championship home with a 9 and 3 record for the sea- son. They just missed get- ting in the Tournament Final by a few points when they came out of the round robin with a 1-1-1 record. The individual awards went to Kate Vanstrein for Best Sport, Bradley Taylor for Most Improved and Steven Vine for Most Valuable. Winter Storms came through the round robin very strong with a 2 and 0 record but in the final came against Campbell they came up short in a 25 to 18 game. The individual awards were given to Carrie Joyce for Best Sport, Jennifer Asselstine for Most Improved and Stuart Cochrane for Most Valuable. Pineridge Sports were unable to get a win in the round robin play but improvement was made throughout the year.
