Congratulations to Tara Galberg and Glen Aitken who had their wedding and reception in Greenbank Hall on Saturday. Sorry that the Country Western show at the pavilion has been postponed until next month. The first meeting of the Greenbank Lions is Wednesday, Sept. 2 at Greenbank Hall. The Greenbank Men's Lobball teams hosted a successful fundraising tournament to improve the baseball fence in Greenbank ball park. The Greenbank Bulls won the B Division, with the Port Perry team Bradshaw and the Lakers calling it a draw in the A finals due to rain. Congratulations to Troy Szebedinsky and Laurie Stevens who were married on Saturday in Pickering Village United Church with the reception at Parkview Golf Club in Markham. The next euchre at Greenbank Hall will be Friday, Sept. 11. Everyone welcome. Harry and I attended the Szebedinsky wedding on Saturday in Pickering. We also spent Sunday afternoon at daughter Earla's to help her and Doug Stanfield celebrate their wedding anniversary. The Evening Unit U.C.W. will meet Sept. 16 at 7:30 p.m. Our topic will be menopause, pre- sented by Anne Blackman. Everyone welcome. Cathy and Mogens Galberg are pleased to announce the Greenbank area news by Doris Hill | marriage of their eldest daughter Tara to Glen Aitken, formerly of Listowel. The wedding took place on Saturday, Aug. 29 in the Greenbank Centennial Town Hall with dinner and reception following. The hall was brim- ming with love and best wishes of the family and friends in atten- dance. Tara and all of her family wish to gratefully acknowledge the generous contributions of gifts, help and best wishes that came from so many people in the community for this special occasion and throughout her life here.
