Their reception was at the Curling Club in Port Perry. The last of the fall Sunday evening Musicals at the Scugog Shores Museum will be held this Sunday, Sept. 27 at 7:30 p.m. All are welcome. A pot luck supper will be held this Friday, Sept. 25 at 6 p.m. as part of the church anniversary cele- brations. The evening pro- gram features the group "Glory Road." Their con- cert presents Jesus in "bluegrass" melodies. For the children a selec- tion of videos is to be shown with popcorn under adult supervision. An offering will be taken and the monies will be used for the church's new roof costs. Ladies please bring a first course or dessert. Seagrave Church anniversary service will be this Sunday, Sept. 27 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Charlie Ketcheson will be the guest speaker. He was ordained in 1979, served in Shawbridge Church, Quebec, and Trinity United Church, Peterborough. He was chaplain and guidance counselor at Albert College, Belleville. Since 1992 he has served as Program and Leadership Development Convener for the Bay of Quinte Conference. Great to see so many folks out for the Terry Fox Run Scugog Island News By Karen Davis Hope everyone has been enjoying the beau- tiful weather lately, The sun broke through the fog Sunday morning for the Terry Fox Run. Many Island folk gathered to partici- pate in this worthwise fundraiser for Cance research. The elementary schools will be holding Terry Fox Runs this week. Scugog Shores Museum - The museum will be holding their annual Fall Fair on Sunday, Sept. 27. The Grace U.C.W. will be having a bake sale at this event. The new curator, Susan Neale, will begin managing the museum on Oct. 1. We welcome Susan to the Island, Scugog Island United Church The Official Board will meet on Monday, Sept. 21 at 8 p.m. at Manchester United Church. The Moms and Tots and Friends will meet on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 9:30 am. at SIUC. The Head U.C.W.'g Turkey Supper will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at the Island Hall. Sittings at 5:15 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. For tickets call Sharon at 985-2529. There will be a pot luck supper held on Saturday, Sept. 26 at 6 p.m. at the Island Hall. Bring your sunflowers to be judged.
