It was great to see familiar faces, as well as Greenbank area news by Doris Hill new ones. Eight teams compet- ed in this fun-filled tournament. Many spectators enjoyed the action as the teams took to the field. The experienced Ken Donnelly team took the cham- pionship game over the Mike Gibson "Young Guns," who seemed destined to win. But the team motto "Old age and treachery will beat youth and speed every time," prevailed. Congratulations to Ken Donnelly and team on winning the 1998 Greenbank Community 3 Pitch Tournament. May you wear your t-shirts with pride. This year's men's M.V.P. was Mike Tyce, and the women's M.V.P. was Angie Williams. Eighty-seven dollars was raised in the 50/50 fence fund draw. The dance was well attended by many tournament players and spectators. Once again D.J. Larry Fairman had everyone rockin 'n rollin the night away. The Park and Hall Board would like to thank all who attended, the Greenbank Lions, D.J. Larry Fairman, Allan Clarkson, and Brian Lee for another fun-filled event. Without you this could not be possible and you do us proud by taking part in our events. Please watch this column for the upcoming Christmas Dance information to take place on Nov. 28.
