The stolen goods include a Spalding golf cart, bag and clubs, valued at more than $700; an $800 Stihl chain- saw; a nailgun worth $800; a $650 Stihl cement saw with a 12" blade; two chains with J-hooks worth $160; a 40-foot chain valued at $80; a 150- foot winch cable worth $150; a $70 socket set; a Coleman stove and lantern worth $60; two fishing rods, reels and tackle valued at $160; a $150 Homelite leaf blower; and a Coleman four-man tent worth $200. Police say that sometime during Oct. 12 between 2 and 11 p.m., thieves forced open a door and stole a 36- inch TV worth $1,500; an $1,100 VCR; a Sharp CD and cassette player; a Sharp six-disc carousel CD player; Vandals broke a window out of a car by either tossing ball bearings at the blue 1994 Pontiac Firebird or using a slingshot, say police. Car broken into An Ajax area man is out more than $2,000 after thieves broke into his car while he was at the Great Blue Heron casino last week. Durham Police report that some- time between 7:30 and 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 7, thieves smashed the rear win- dow out of a grey, four-door 1989 Mazda and removed a red leather briefcase. Inside the briefcase were 22 pagers of varying models. Each pager is worth approximately $80, but cannot be activated without a security card. The briefcase also contained $400 in cash, police say.
