Durham Regional Police report that around 3:10 a.m. on Monday morning, a 51-year-old male was working at Suny's gas station alone when a knock on the window made him look up from his book. The attendant looked out and saw a lone man wearing a black balaclava outside the booth, say police. The suspect demanded that the attendant hand over all the money from the till quickly, and produced a pillow case for the man to put the cash into. While the suspect was distracted when opening the pillow case, the attendant grabbed the gun and tugged it away from the thief's grasp, police say.
