Centre on Now. 11 with a large crowd attending. Rev. David Shearman conduct- ed the service with Mayor Doug Moffatt bringing greetings from the township, Councillor Ken Gadsden reading the scripture and Rev. Hugh Kernohan deliv- ering the address. Following the service, the group moved to the Cenotaph for the reading of the Honour Roll, the Last Post and Minute of Silence and the laying of the wreaths. Congratulations to Craig Hoskin and Lisa Hall who were married last Saturday with the reception held in Little Britain Hall. Better health is wished for Roy Werry who is a patient in Port Perry Hospital. Sympathy is extended to Marie and Cecil Gibson on the double bereavement - first Marie's sister Luella Walters and immediately afterwards her brother-in-law Percy Walters. Luella's funeral was on-Friday and her husband's on Tuesday, both from Oshawa. Sympathy also is extended to Andrea Weir and family on the passing of her brother-in- law this past week. Muriel Wotten hosted a fam- ily gathering on Friday which was attended by her sisters and brothers. Her guests were Marjorie and Herb Prescott and Anita of Maple Grove, Jean and Andre Brouillette of Weston, Dave and Hertha McLean of Markham, Heber and Joan McLean of Bowmanville. Irene and Ross Vanclief of Corbyville spent a couple of days with their friends Cecil and Marie Gibson. The Morning and Afternoon Units of the UCW met at the church following the Remembrance Day Service. Before lunch the Afternoon | Unit held a brief meeting at which we planned a birthday party at the Villa. The December meeting will be at Jean Ferguson's home in the form of a pot luck lun- cheon followed by a program where everyone contributes an item. The Morning Unit then host- ed a delicious luncheon. It was especially enjoyable for the Afternoon Unit as we didn't contribute a thing. Rev.
