Seagrave Church News by Ann Sandiford Seagrave The organist, Doug Wylie and the choir joined the congregation in singing Christmas hymns prior to the ser- vice on Sunday. On the second Sunday of Advent Steve and Marilyn Snyder, Cassie and Logan read the advent readings and lit the candles of hope and peace. It was followed by singing "A Candle is Burning." During the children's time Rev. Carson talked to the children about the kindness that comes into our lives at this time of year as we prepare for |- the birth of the Baby Jesus. The choir sang the anthem "The Dark Softly Falling." The sermon was on repentance. Next Sunday a coffee time will follow the service. Seagrave congregational Christmas pot luck supper and party will be held on Friday, Dec. 18 at 6 p.m. in the church. A short program will follow. The Christmas Eve Service for the pastoral charge will be at Greenbank Church on Dec. 24 at 7:30 p.m. A walk-in foot clinic will be held Monday, Dec. 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Greenbank United Church.
