Caswell One of the events that we enjoy so much is our Christmas dinner and this year was no excep- tion. The Scugog Community Centre was the setting for this affair and with 160 people in attendance, it was the largest number from our club to get together for a Christmas party. The tables were nicely decorated with Christmas items made by our craft people and they are to be congratu- lated for all the work in making so many of these attractive pieces. The dinner was catered by Dorothy Lee and her staff and they did an excellent job so our thanks to the cooks and the people that served this fine meal to all the tables. With dinner complet- ed, the entertainment started with a musical duo called (Rural Highness) Dean and Sandy James-Mitchell and they sang some of their own compositions so our thanks to them for adding so much to our Janetville U.C. to be setting for carol sing Christmas carolling will be held at the Janetville United Church, Sunday, Dec. 20 at 7 p.m. and refresh- ments will be served after. Everyone is wel- come. Our Christmas Eve Service is Dec. 24 at 7 p.m. Our New Year's Eve Dance will be held at the Janetville Community Center at 8 p.m. Admission is $20 per person and a hot and cold midnight buf- fet will be provided. A trio from the choir, Joan and Gord Emerson along with Vilma Giannini joined In singing some songs with humorous lyrics. They, along with the other entertainers added so much to a splendid evening and we do thank all those who contributed in so many ways to make this affair a success.
