The GO Transit Committee has agreed to spend $1.1 million on the Durham service, and is looking to recoup as much as 64 per cent of that in ticket sales. "We are here to serve the community... we don't expect to make money with this service. If we expected to fully recover our costs we'd never be here," said Mr. Robinson. "It's going to take a while for things to get going but after six or 12 months, and we have only one or two riders, we have a problem. We hope when we get the service here the people of Scugog can justify its use."
