We had so much fun. On Christmas eve father and I went to the woods to get a tree. We went in the early morning. When we got back, it was the afternoon. Mother got out the old orna- ments and we made some new ones. We made strings of pop- corn and cranberries. I made a pomender ball out of an orange and cloves. Then mother and I made candles. We dipped and dipped them into bay berries. Finally the candles were ready. Then we ate dinner. We had pork, corn, milk and bread. Then mother and I finished up the Christmas baking. We had made minced meat and other vegetables, rice and an apple pie. On Christmas I got a china doll. Then all of us, including the neighbours, sang carols, ate dinner and went to the Christmas ceremony. Then a few hours later we came home and lit the candles, the ones we made. We watched them and blew them out and hung the stocking and went straight to bed. Yours truly, Meggie Fraser, Gr. 3, S.A.
