Game three saw us matched against a good team from Coldwater. The puck was dropped and things were underway. Each team seemed to be feeling out the other look- ing for the weak spot. This was the third game of the day but you wouldn't have known it as both sides skated and hit hard. Glen Powell the DQ Predators captain started things off with 3 min. left in the first period on a nice pass from assistant captain Brett Simmonds who got the assist on the play. Ports goalie made a great save on a Coldwater player who got behind the defense and was on a break-a-way when David Briley used his speed to just tip the Coldwater players stick enough to slow down the shot but Tyler Leach still had to be sharp to make the save. Tyler played well turning shot after shot away. Trevor Doe & David Briley played it tough in the corners for the DQ Predators along with James Hobbs and Travis McAllister who took it to those who parked in front of Port Perry's net. One minute and 30 seconds after the first goal, Paul Herold made it 2-0 assisted by Scott Pardington on a great shot to the Coldwater corner. The second period was scoreless as end to end action thrilled the fans. Spencer Marlow of the Predators played his usual hard hitting game. He had the Coldwater team looking over their shoul- ders.
