Alarm scares off thieves, say police Thieves were scared away from a storage building on Edgerton Rd. after an alarm sounded when they pried open a window, say police. Sometime around 3 a.m. on Jan. 22 police report that thieves jim- mied open a window on a storage barn but were scared away by an audi- ble alarm. When officers arrived, two sets of footprints were found in the snow were the thieves tried to jump over a snowbank but fell down, say police. The suspects were then seen driving west- bound towards Blackstock. Police offi- cers took off in pursuit, but lost them. Damage to the window 1s estimated to be around $20.
