"A Family Tradition for 133 Years" a Ze PORT PERRY STAR - Tuesday, March 2, 1999 - 13 Kids' acting classes to begin next week Film critic and acting instructor John H. Foote will once again offer a series of workshops for kids ages 7to 12, focusing on the basics of acting. The classes are one hour in length, high energy, and geared to allowing the kids to explore their creativity and perhaps harness their boundless energies in a creative, positive manner. Through a series of the- atre games and skits, they learn to create from their own fertile minds, as well as understanding how to work together as a team to solve creative problems. Mr. Foote is best known as the film critic for the TV show Reel to Real and his weekly columns in the Weekend Star, but also for his talents in working with actors. He is the Director of the Film and Television Program at the Trebas Film Institute where, amongst other things, he teaches acting theory. The classes begin Thursday March 11, run- ning 10 consecutive Thursdays, March break excepted. Class begins at 7 pm, and runs until 8 pm at the Scugog Community Centre. Cost for the session is $80.
