In 1985 Warren decided to continue the family tradition and purchased the business from his retiring parents. Since the store opened business has grown considerably. Clothes range in various styles and sizes from newborn on upward to mens' and ladies' sizes. Clothing can be dropped off on Tuesday and Thursday weekly or by appointment. To be fair to their clients, the maximum of 20 items is allowed on any drop-off day. All clothing in the store is in style, excellent condition and for the appropriate season. To ensure their customers are getting a quality item at superb prices, all fashions must be either freshly laundered or dry cleaned and pressed before they arrive at the store. Mens', ladies' and childrens' jeans are always in great demand What Goes Around, Comes Around also carries new and 'gently used" baby equipment and toys. All must be complete, in good working order and, above all, meet all current safety standards. Others benefit from clothing brought in for consignment. If any clothing is not sold after two months and not retrieved by the owner, these items are discounted and the proceeds are then donated to the local food bank and the Bethesda Women's Shelter in Bowmanville. Jeans, over-size and maternity wear are the popular fashions sought for in the store. A pair of brand name denim jeans starts at $6.99, and work their way up to $19.99. While Spring arrives later this month, it doesn't necessarily mean warm weather will follow. Many weeks of cold weather will still remain with us, despite several stores stocking up with new spring fashions.
